Boat Covers & Shades

Custom-fit covers and shade kits from the manufacturer that's been building them since 1976 — ordered through All Water Customs with same-day estimates and better pricing than buying direct.

Your Flooring Investment Doesn't Stop at Installation.

A proper cover is the single best thing you can do to protect new foam decking — from UV fade, salt residue, bird droppings, and the general wear that comes from sitting uncovered in Florida weather. If you're already getting flooring done with us, adding a LaPorte cover at the same time is the easiest way to make sure it looks right and lasts far beyond the warranty.

Already have your flooring? These covers and shades are available as a standalone purchase — no flooring order required.

T-Top Boat Covers

LaPorte's flagship product. Each cover is custom-made to your specific boat make and model — not a generic fit pulled off a shelf. The result is full coverage that sits tight against the hull without pooling, flapping, or leaving gaps where rain and debris collect.

100% solution-dyed polyester won't bleed or transfer color to your gel coat. Lightweight enough for one person to install or remove in about five minutes.

  • Webbing straps and adjustable clips fit a wide range of T-Top frames
  • Port or starboard zipper for interior access without removing the cover
  • Sewn tabs at the bottom for sandbags or tie-down straps in wind
  • Built for trailers, boat lifts, dry stacks, and jet docks

Center Console Boat Covers

For boats that don't have a T-Top frame. Same custom fit, same materials, same build quality — just engineered for a different hull configuration. Three color options in nine-ounce fabric that's lightweight enough to breathe and prevent mold and mildew underneath.

Works on lifts, dry stacks, floating docks, and trailers. Same port-or-starboard zipper access so you can get inside the boat without pulling the whole cover.

  • Custom-made to your exact boat make and model
  • 9 oz. solution-dyed polyester — no color transfer to hull
  • Breathable fabric design prevents mold and mildew buildup
  • Zipper access without full cover removal

Boat Shades

A different product for a different problem. Covers protect the boat when you're not on it. Shade kits protect you and your passengers while you are. LaPorte's shade material — called Resilience — uses a patented reflective coating that blocks 98% of UV rays and reflects up to 75% of the heat back.

The material has about 20% stretch, installs in minutes by one person using telescoping poles that fit standard rod holders, and isn't permanently attached — move it to wherever you need shade most.

  • Blocks 98% of UV rays, reflects 75% of UV heat
  • Quiet at speeds up to 30 knots when mounted aft
  • Telescoping poles (42″–72″) fit standard rod holders
  • For center console, dual console, and walk-around boats

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to have flooring done with AWC to order a LaPorte cover?

No. Covers and shade kits are available as a standalone purchase. That said, if you're already getting foam decking installed, adding a cover at the same time is the most straightforward way to protect that investment from day one — and you'll only deal with one point of contact for both.

  • How is a LaPorte cover different from a universal boat cover?

Every LaPorte cover is custom-made to your specific boat make and model using patterns developed over decades. That means it fits the actual shape of your hull, console, and T-Top frame — no bunching, no pooling, no loose spots where rain collects. Universal covers are sized by length range, which is why they never sit right.

  • What material are the covers made from?

100% solution-dyed polyester. "Solution-dyed" means the color goes into the fiber during manufacturing rather than being applied to the surface afterward — so it won't fade, bleed, or transfer color to your gel coat. LaPorte also offers Sunbrella fabric options for customers who want that specific brand of marine-grade acrylic.

  • Can one person install the cover alone?

Yes. LaPorte designs their covers to be a one-person job. T-Top covers use webbing straps and adjustable clips that make positioning straightforward — most people have theirs on or off in about five minutes once they've done it a couple of times.

  • Will the cover work on my boat lift? Trailer? Dry stack?

T-Top and Center Console covers are designed for trailers, boat lifts, dry stacks, jet docks, and floating docks. They're storage covers — not made to be used while the boat is in the water underway. If you need protection while on the water, the Boat Shade Kit is the right product for that.

  • How does the Boat Shade Kit install?

Telescoping poles (adjustable from 42″ to 72″) fit into standard rod holders. The shade material has about 20% stretch, so it pulls taut and stays quiet at speed. One person can set it up in a few minutes, and it's not permanently attached — stow it in the included carry bag when you're done.

  • How long do LaPorte covers typically last?

With normal use and basic care, owners commonly get 7–10+ years from a LaPorte cover. Solution-dyed polyester holds up well against UV, salt, and repeated wet/dry cycles — the conditions that break down cheaper covers in two or three seasons. Sunbrella fabric options carry their own multi-year fabric warranty on top of that.

  • What information do you need for an estimate?

Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links.
  • Why buy through All Water Customs instead of ordering direct from LaPorte?

Boat make, model, and year. Whether your boat has a T-Top frame or not. And which products you're interested in — cover, shade kit, or both. That's enough for us to pull the right LaPorte pattern and get you same-day pricing. If you're also doing a flooring project with us, mention that too so we can coordinate everything together.
